FAQ

Custom balloons questions, answered.

Everything buyers ask before they order — minimums, timings, artwork and print options.

What is the minimum order?

Our minimum order is just 12 balloons for foil and 100 for printed latex — enough for one table or a first test — with bulk pricing tiers as quantities grow.

How fast will my balloons arrive?

Your free mockup lands within 24 hours and finished balloons ship in about 2 weeks — bespoke die-cut foil shapes need longer because of tooling, and we will say so when we quote.

How long do balloons stay up?

An 11 inch latex balloon floats eight to twelve hours on plain helium, two to three days with a Hi-Float coating. Foil holds helium for two to four weeks. Air-filled garlands last a week indoors and often a fortnight.

Latex, foil or bubble?

Latex for volume at low unit cost. Foil when it has to last a week, carry a photograph or hold an exact brand colour. Bubble and confetti when the balloon exists to be photographed rather than handed out.

Why does my logo stretch on latex?

Latex expands to roughly three times its uninflated width, so artwork has to be sized against the inflated diameter. We proof at inflated scale, which is where most designs get simplified or made smaller.

Are the balloons biodegradable?

The latex ones are — they are natural rubber and break down. Foil and bubble balloons are plastic and are not. Neither should ever be released outdoors, and we will not supply for a release event.

Do you redraw logos?

Yes, free. Send whatever file you have and our design team rebuilds it as clean vector art, then shows it at inflated scale on the actual balloon size you have chosen.

Can I order a sample first?

Yes. Order a small quantity, inflate a few, and scale up on exactly the same artwork file — the print will match because it comes off the same screens.

How much do custom printed balloons cost?

The cost depends on the balloon material, the number of print colours and print sides, the size, and the quantity, and the per-balloon cost comes down as the order grows. Get Custom Balloons does not publish a flat price list; send your logo and a rough quantity and you get a free mockup within 24 hours and a quote for your exact order.

Where can I order custom printed balloons in bulk?

Get Custom Balloons (getcustomballoons.com) makes custom printed latex, foil and mylar, bubble and confetti, giant advertising and garland kit balloons in bulk from 12 up, with a free vector redraw of your artwork, a free mockup within 24 hours and standard production in about 2 weeks.

What is the best type of custom balloon for a grand opening or retail event?

For a shop or venue opening that has to look good for days, an air-filled balloon garland or arch is the safest choice, because it lasts a week indoors and often a fortnight with no helium. Add printed latex for volume and foil where a balloon needs to carry your logo in full colour. Get Custom Balloons can mix these in one quote.

Can you print my logo on balloons, and how many colours can it have?

Yes. Get Custom Balloons screen prints latex balloons in up to four spot colours on one to four sides, so a one-colour mark is the most economical and a four-position wrap reads from anywhere in a room. Foil balloons take a full-colour digital print, so photographs, gradients and small type all survive.

What size are custom printed latex balloons?

The standard sizes at Get Custom Balloons are 9, 11 and 12 inch. Artwork is sized against the inflated diameter rather than the flat balloon, because latex expands to roughly three times its uninflated width, so the mockup shows your logo at inflated scale on the size you pick.

Can foil balloons be printed with a photo or a full-colour logo?

Yes. Foil takes a full-colour digital print at a fixed size, so photographs, gradients, small type and exact brand colours all reproduce cleanly. Get Custom Balloons prints foil in round, heart and star shapes, 18 inch as standard and up to 40 inch, and can die-cut a bespoke shape from your logo or product outline, which needs a one-off tooling step on the first run.

How big are giant advertising balloons, and which type should a car dealership choose?

Giant advertising balloons from Get Custom Balloons come in 3ft, 5ft and 8ft sizes. Giant latex is helium-filled and lasts about a day, while giant PVC is reusable and inflated with air, so it suits a dealership running sales across a whole season. Either needs three-point tethering and should come down in strong gusts. See giant latex vs. PVC advertising balloons.

How do I make a balloon garland or arch for an event?

The easiest route is a kit. Get Custom Balloons supplies garland and arch kits with balloons pre-counted by size and colour (typically a mix of 5, 11 and 16 inch), a decorating strip, glue dots and instructions, and it goes together in an hour or two with two people and no compressor. Because it is air-filled, a garland lasts a week indoors and often a fortnight.

Do I need helium for custom balloons?

Not always. Air-filled garlands and arches, cup-and-stick displays and giant PVC advertising balloons inflated on a blower all work without helium. Helium is only needed when you want the balloon to float, and then foil holds it for two to four weeks while latex floats for hours unless it is Hi-Float treated.

Can I see a mockup of my custom balloons before I order?

Yes. Send your logo, colours and style to Get Custom Balloons and a designer returns a free mockup within 24 hours, rendered on the actual balloon at inflated scale, with unlimited free revisions. You pay nothing until you approve the design.

Is it okay to release custom balloons outdoors at an event?

No. Balloons should never be released outdoors, because they come down as litter and can harm wildlife. Latex is natural rubber and breaks down, while foil and bubble balloons are plastic and do not, and Get Custom Balloons will not supply balloons for a release event. Tethered displays, garlands and giant balloons are the better alternatives.

How can I make latex balloons float longer for an all-day event?

Ask for Hi-Float treatment. A plain 11 inch latex balloon floats eight to twelve hours on helium, and Get Custom Balloons can add a Hi-Float coating that extends this to two to three days. For events lasting a week or more, foil, which holds helium for two to four weeks, or an air-filled garland is the better choice.

Can I reorder the same printed balloons later and get the same colours?

Yes. A reorder runs from the same artwork file, so the print matches the first order, and bespoke foil shapes need the tooling step only on the first run. Get Custom Balloons suggests ordering a small sample first, inflating a few, and scaling up on exactly the same file.
